Here are a few episodes I have submitted to our SCC group already. These are all rough drafts and so will probably change before they are finalized. Enjoy.
"Monster Kids" Little Treats.
Panel:In the middle of a clearing in the woods, "Spider Lady" is carefully setting a simple trap to ensnare one of the Kids. She is tying a length of her thread to a stick which is propping up one side of a wooden box. Under the box, sitting on a bear trap, is a large jar of sweets. She is looking behind her, aware that the Kids are on their way.
Panel: Same as above only now "Spider Lady" is now hiding in the bushes in the middle ground. Most of her body is obscured by shrubbery, but her head is visible. The thread is clearly visible trailing from the trap to the bushes. She is looking at the Monster Kids (Ivy, Luna, "Skele-boy", "Mud-boy" and "Vampire-boy") who are walking into panel from the right (or left). They are, at the moment, oblivious to the trap as they are talking amongst themselves.
Panel: Same as above only now "Spider Lady" has a faint smile on her face as she watches the Monster Kids. They have stopped in front of the trap. They are carefully checking it out without getting too close.
Panel: Same as above only now "Spider Lady looks on with some glee as Ivy pushes Luna at the trap. Ivy has a wicked grin on her face. Luna is half sprawled out in the air as is she has been tripped up. Her arms are stretched out in front of her and she has a look of suprise on her face. The other Kids watch with looks of suprise and concern.
Panel: Same as above only now "Spider Lady" has a wicked grin to rival Ivy's. She has yanked the stick free and the wooden box has fallen, with a thud, down over Luna. There is a snap as the bear trap is sprung. Ivy still looks on with a wry smile whilst the other Kids now watch with shock.
Panel: Same as above only now "Lady Spider has a look of shock and disbelief on her face. The box is being lifted up from oneside. Luna has raised the side of the box over her head with one hand. In the other is the large jar of sweets which she presses closely to her body. Ivy has a faint look of suprise on her face, while the other Kids show their relief and excitement with smiles and raised fists.
Panel: Same as above only now "Spider Lady" stares open mouthed at the up-ended wooded box and the sprung bear trap which sit in the middle of the panel. The Monster Kids all crowd Luna and the jar she carries as they walk out of panel from the opposite direction they entered.
"Monster Kids": Blood Shed.
Panel: The "Monster Kids" are all sitting/laying in a rough circle. The Little Things (Ivy and Luna) hold in their hands a little voodoo doll with a crude resemblance to "Skele-boy". It is already liberally dotted with pins. Ivy is pushing another into it. The twins are looking at "Skele-boy" who is sitting on is backside, legs stretched out infront of him and resting backwards on his elbows. He looks unphased.
Caption (Ivy): Feel anything?
Caption ("Skele-boy"): Nope.
Panel: A close up of The Little Things, Ivy has her hand raised above her head, a pin clenched between her fingers. She has a look of determination on her face. her tongue sticks out from the side of her closed mouth. She is looking down at the voodoo doll still in their hands. Luna looks up at her sister's raised hand.
Panel: Same as above only now Ivy has brought the pin down hard into the doll. She has a bit of a wicked grin on her face. Luna has let go of the voodoo doll. She is reeling back in pain. A hand is being clenched and its index finger is outstretched.
Caption (Luna): Ouch! You stuck me!
Panel: Same as first panel. All of the Kids (with the exception of "Skele-boy" who hasn't moved at all) are crowding around Luna. "Mud" stands behind Ivy and "Vampire" stands behind Luna. They all look at her injured finger.
Caption ("Skele-boy's" thought bubble): Why don't I feel?
Caption (Ivy): Sorry.
Panel: Same as above only now everyone (again with the exception of "Skele" who still hasn't moved) is looking at "Vampire-boy" who is pointing at Luna's finger. He looks quite faint. On Luna's finger a tiny pin prick of blood can be seen.
Caption ("Vampire-boy") T-there's b-b-blood!
Panel: Same as above only now the Kids (again apart from "Skele") are looking at "Vampire" who is laying unconscious on the floor. Luna has her wounded finger in her mouth. Ivy is frowning and pointing at "Vampire".
Caption ("Skele-boy's" thought bubble): Maybe I'm broke...
Caption (Ivy): You're the worst vampire ever.
Monster Kids: Last Rites.
Panel: A wide panel shot of a gloomy hillside. Littered here and there are graves stones of various shapes and sizes, some are grand and some are plain. The ones in the foreground are close enough to read, they have engraved on them names like 'Kujo Vlll' , Atilla the Bunny, Tweety the Vulture etc. (And perhaps the name of the comic and the episode). On the top of the hill in the distance we can see the two small, silhouetted figures of Ivy and Luna. In the foreground we can see Skele-boy walking up a path towards them. He has just walked through a battered, wrought iron gateway with a sign about it saying 'Pet Cemetary'.
Caption (Ivy): You were a good kitty, Mr. Scratches, and we will miss you.
Panel: We are at the graveside now. We can now see that Ivy and Luna are wearing black 'mourning' dresses. The two little things are holding hands. Ivy is drying her eyes with a handkerchief and Luna has a shovel in her free hand. They both look solemn. In front of them is a small mound of earth with a headstone at one end. A few daisies have been scattered over the grave. Skele-boy is walking into panel from one side.
Caption (Skele-boy): Whatcha doing?
Panel: Same as above only now Skele-boy is standing by the graveside. Luna is looking at him sadly.
Caption (Luna): We are burying Mr. Scratches, our kitty.
Caption (Skele-boy): I see... How did he die?
Panel: Skele-boy has turned his head to look at Ivy who in-turn is looking at him. Luna is patting the mound gently with the shovel and both the little Things have wicked smiles on their faces.
Caption (Luna): Oh, He's not dead.
Caption (Mr. Scratches from under the mound): Mew.
So, there you go.
